Baran Kablo’s LIHH Low Smoke, Halogen-Free Data Cable is specially designed for areas with high fire safety requirements. LIHH stands for “Low Smoke Halogen Free,” and these cables are distinguished by their ability to emit very little smoke and no halogen gases during a fire. This minimizes the risk of poisoning and limits visibility obstruction during fire incidents, which is why LIHH cables are particularly preferred in areas critical to public safety—such as hospitals, schools, airports, or metro stations.

The fire resistance of LIHH cables and their non-toxic combustion products are vital because, in the event of a fire, they emit less harmful gases like water vapor and carbon dioxide instead of dangerous halogen acid gases. These features make the cables ideal for use in enclosed spaces with high occupancy and elevated fire risk.
